I first heard about Crosstitched several months ago when the Fire Critic had shared the page on Facebook and on FireCritic.com. I know there are a lot of firefighter apparel lines out there, and a lot of the designs are over the top. I believe what caught my eye about this line was that the designs were edgy, but not too busy for my liking.
Crosstitched has a variety of different designs for men and women, and also feature accessories such as stickers and beanies. Most importantly, they offer custom designs for YOUR department, business, blog, or association. The shirts are ink dyed instead of screen printed, so you don’t get the plastic look that cracks after washing. The ink is actually dyed into the fabric to prevent cracking, and it creates a smoother designed shirt.
They recently started a campaign to raise the number of “Likes” on their Facebook page. They decided to feature a give-away to a random person in their first “500 likes.” I WON! I quickly received a notification telling me to choose any apparel item of my choice, and they would gladly send it out to me. The design I chose was the Breaking Through Grey. I liked the design of the shirt, which is offered in white or grey.
I received my package on the doorstep, and I was very impressed with the packaging. The shirt arrived in a customized box that went with the shirt design. Inside the box, I found a very soft pre-shrunk tee, several stickers, and and Iron Cross Skull Cap.
During my recent trip to New York, I packed my Crosstitched clothing and couldn’t wait to try it out. I was very pleased with the fit and comfort of the shirt. The sizing was perfect, and I received several compliments on the design. The Iron Cross Skull Cap was a perfect addition to my cold weather bag that I keep on the rig at work.
There are several things that helped me realize that I would be wearing more Crosstitched clothing in the future. The shirts are MADE IN THE USA, and I believe in supporting these lines. The designs are very up-to-date, and I can’t wait to get an order together for my IAFF Local 2270. The customer service seems to be great and very personal. The clothing designs are created by firefighters for firefighters.
If you haven’t checked out Crosstitched yet, do it now! They just reached 750 “Likes” on Facebook, and will be running several specials. They are also trying to hit 1,000 by the first of the year! With each milestone, they plan on giving back to those who support them by offering give-aways, discounts, and much more!
