Food, Fellowship, and Faith: Community Gives Back to KFD

The members of the Kingsport Fire Department serve the members of the community 365 days a year, 24 hours a day. We don’t do it for recognition or even just a paycheck. We do it because we have a love for the job, and a passion for the fire service. The reality of it is that we always see people on their WORST day, and it is always when we have to be at our BEST. Anytime that a member of the community thanks us, it means a lot.

graceOn Sunday evening, members of Grace Fellowship provided food, fellowship, and faith for B-shift. They wanted to thank us for all that we do, and know that firefighters love food! The gracious members were able to spend time with the firefighters on-shift, grill burgers, and share the word as well.

It is always a great time to get to meet members of this great community on a “good” day, rather than in a time of need. Each of our firefighters also received a copy of Stories of Faith and Courage from Firefighters and First Responders (click the link to purchase your copy).
