On Thursday, June 26th, 2014, the Kingsport Fire Department responded to the 1400 block of Stratford Road for a report of smoke coming from an apartment complex. Engine 3 arrived on-scene to find smoke coming from the C-side of a 4 unit two-story apartment building.

A-shift firefighters worked quickly to contain the fire that had spread from the first to the second story of the exterior of the building. Due to the early detection of the fire and a quick response from firefighters, the fire was quickly contained. Crews remained on-scene until overhaul was completed. No injuries were reported.

Solid work A-shift!
