This evening, various members of Sullivan Co. EMS posted in front of Wal-Mart on Fort Henry Drive in Kingsport with the community in mind. EMT’s and Paramedics that serve the community on a daily basis on the ambulance donned red aprons and bells in support for the Salvation Army.

While this is the second year in a row that employees took post for the Salvation Army, it was the first annual “Fill the Box!”

Patrons of the store were able to place any Christmas item while shopping, and upon exiting, they placed the item in the ambulance (box). All of the items placed in the Sullivan Co. EMS ambulance went toward the remaining tags on the Angel Tree! Children from the Colonial Heights Baptist Church PreSchool colored the banner and also took their turn for ringing the bell!

This event was a great success and could not have been possible without the support of the community! It is a pleasure to work with these brothers and sister on a daily basis, and that we all have the community in mind…while on and off-duty!
